Change is upon us. Just as nature transitions from the vibrancy of summer to the contemplative hues of autumn, our lives often undergo similar shifts. We understand that life’s challenges can leave us feeling broken, uncertain or in need of direction. But here’s the beautiful truth: just as the leaves transform, so can we.
This first weekend of fall, embark on a journey of self-discovery, growth and faith. This women’s retreat explores how brokenness can birth positive change when remaining rooted in faith.
Connect with like-minded women who share your spiritual journey and delve into the power of faith and how it can fortify us during times of change. Through uplifting discussions, a shared meal, a unique creative therapy experience and more, discover how brokenness can become a catalyst for growth and transformation.
You can’t control life’s seasons. But when your roots are grounded is His soil, your reason never waivers.
Join Stephanie and Shannon for a Broken and Beautiful half-day retreat where together they inspire, empower and help women transform into the beautiful and restored people God calls them to be. Dive into Scripture, let your creativity spark during a memorable creative therapy session, enjoy a shared meal and meet other women who are navigating new seasons but determined to remain rooted in the same reason.

Two women who seek to remain connected to the vine, Stephanie and Shannon met by Divine Appointment at a retreat themselves (a writer’s retreat, that is). Through their mutual love for Jesus and joint passion for writing, a budding friendship emerged, creating a new season in both of their lives… one that helps other women embrace their brokenness and embark on a journey to beautiful wholeness. Together, they bring wisdom, authenticity and a genuine desire to help women grow through their Broken and Beautiful Retreats.
Stephanie has had quite the journey to discipleship. A woman of faith her whole life, it was in middle of the night moments when God called her to a deeper conversation with Him. In the thick of pregnancy insomnia and work stress, Stephanie found her fingertips on the keyboard, typing through a conversation that God begged her to have with him. She didn’t expect her writings would be the beginning of a book, that book the beginning of a business, and that business the beginning of many relationships, including the one that invited her to meet Shannon.
A woman of faith, Shannon grew up in a Christian family and the church. But it took the broken experiences of miscarriages, PTSD and her husband’s bizarre, stress-induced amnesia to bring her through to a place of beauty and purpose. Shannon serves as a pastor’s wife and homeschool mama and approaches life often through her lens as a registered nurse and wellness educator. Be inspired by her love for the Lord and her raw vulnerability in sharing. Shannon knew from the first time she met Stephanie that God had something super special planned for their relationship.
Every woman who attends a Broken and Beautiful Retreat becomes an active participant in a truly transformative experience. This half-day retreat includes two God-centered sessions, a delicious lunch, a creative therapy experience and individual and group reflection time.
Stephanie loves calling her God-given talent creative therapy, but rest assured she is no therapist. Stephanie deepened her relationship with God through creating wreaths that funded her book dream. Out of it came a passion for teaching others the power of creativity. Now, her workshops integrate creative elements, and she connects the final takeaway to the full experience of the retreat. Each retreat has a Creative Therapy element, but artistic ability isn’t required! Just you, an openness to hear God working in your life and a willingness to try something new is.
Our goal is for you to be comfortable, so feel free to dress casual!
